Product Description
Lock-up bearings(LUBs) are anti-seismic bearings featuring a Lock-up Device (LUD) installed in a structural bearing. LUB's are applied to continuous bridges and are used as flexible bridge bearings.
Whenever earthquakes or other moving loads occur, the bearing will lock up and become rigid in order to share the horizontal load among the continuous flexible piers. As a result, horizontal loads among continuous flexible piers will be reduced and thus creating optimal load distribution between flexible and fixed piers.
